Where did the old coarse run? I've seen that same cone shaped hill in many pictures. Is it possible to figure out the old pylon locations?

I have no photoshop so if anyone cares to take these images and doctor them up with some pretty lines and stuff, please, feel free. I'll even send you a bigger one if like.

Been laying low, hanging out with the nipper. She likes going out exploring so I though maybe tracking down the old coarse would be fun for both of us.

Was it something I said? Nobody here knows were the old course was? Even a general idea? I find that very hard to believe. Come on fellas, this is the only missing part of this thread.

I simply cannot identify anything via the new photos. Maybe if I had ever been there in person I might, but I haven't...All I've ever seen is aerial photos.

Well, the event site and orientation are way different than I thought. We obviously know where the little course was due to this thread (by the way, thanks to everybody who has contributed to this thread, it's awsome) but, as it is so much different, I now have no idea where the unlimited course was. It obviously had to run in front of the grandstands at some point but, where did it go from there? There is the large, cone shaped hill at the north end of the valley that I have seen in many of the old photos and in the photos I posted and I was hoping to use it as some sort of reference point for tracking down the old course.

Have you tried the Chamber of Commerce, I've seen them referenced in some of the info I've found. Since they were probably involved in the marketing, they might have some photo archives.

If Don Berliner still comes around, he should be a good source as well...
