Buddy of mine is long experienced pilot/aircraft owner and very very handy with tools... He's been looking for something to do there this year. Just put a call in to him, I'll let you know what he says when he calls back.. How many days do you need him? (how early in the week?)
Usual crew time at Reno is ten days, with possibly the post-show Monday morning, to aid in planes departure.
There can be very long days, into the wee hours of the morning.
You may miss some of the events, (you are there for the plane and pilot).
Meals are not always gourmet.
Usually get up waaay to early in the morning.
Sun burns are real possibility.
I've met some of the nicest people, and had some of the most rewarding experiences crewing. I highly recommend the experience.

It's just that added little bit, that if you screw something up, the consequences can be quite severe, so for me at least, there isn't any till it's all over
