I took my 3-year-old grandson to KAUN thins morning for some aeroplane watching, and the former Critical Mass was parked out on the ramp. My grandson's comment? "Wow Grandpa, that's a biiiig airplane!"

Good on you! Gotta get that generation interested and involved...or all is lost. After all, we are here solely because those that came before us made it so...just sayin....

Ain't that the truth! When my kids were young, it was always "Oh, dad...not more airplanes?!"

I have over 70,000 images stored and I'd venture to guess fewer than 1,000 are of actual humans!

Landscapes: Check
Animals: Check
Hydroplanes: Check
Race Cars: Check

Airplanes: Check, Check, and Double-Check

I too have thousands of slides of not just airshows/air races, but things like climbing up the back of Half-Dome or the Grand Canyon,ect and there are no pictures of me.

In those rare moments that my wife actually sees any of mine, it's "you never take pictures of people".
Luckily my son is interested, actually more than interested as he's an aircraft mechanic, so I know my years of photos and slides, books, memorabilia and Air Classics back to 1970 will have a good home.

Every shot is worth a look. I see something good/unique in every shot.

Better to share than to just sit on them until you croak, right?

Now a days most stuff from us old schoolers may just get scrapped by next of kin.
