Someone should arrange a lap around the course for you.
What a view you would have. And I'm sure you'd get a Section 3 shirt from Bob.

Ahhh… I dunno, sitting in an airplane of any sort without doors is something I absolutely LOVE to do.. standing on a wing.. aaahhhhhh…
Don't think my nervous system would handle it well!
One of our previous Reno reporters here got the chance to do just this a few years ago (lap around pylons).. there was a story rights issue with the fellow so I'm pretty sure the piece isn't available any longer... looked like a lot of fun though!
The finish line shot was captured by one of our member and posted here in 2014. His name is drawing blank?
If anyone remembers the name please post here.
Great shot and thanks again for sharing.

Possibly the most exciting finish at RENO ever! The post race interviews were something I'm honored to have been able to pull off! With the help of Curtis Cash (NAG) I was able to give the unofficial results to the pilots and as I found out later, the entire crowd because my interview went on the jumbotron and speaker system... I'd have been scared ****less if I'd have thought about actually being live with that moment... I think I've gotten to do just about everything you can do at Reno as a journalist! Except a lap on the course!
I have a video of Art Scholls last drunk farmer act (1985) and not to take away from Kent Art was the BOMB. I love these where we all know it's fake but we see the true skill of the pilot. In my whole flying career I don't like the ground!
His performance was one that I aways made it a point to be in my seat to watch. If I was in a beer line and he was about to start, I left and returned to my seat.
No THAT's a testiment...giving up your place in the grog line! Atta boy!
