Re: Where's the Bear??
Just an assumption that if Bear was retired, Lewis might retire from racing.

I don't think Bear is retiring. I think Rod is just trying a different direction with that program. Again. Even if it was retired I think 232 will be back. It might even become the "flag ship" of his racing operation.

Re: Where's the Bear??
Per this thread and earlier threads on speculation, there is no info, no rumors, just what-if's for fun.

1. Dago's coming back '13.
2. Voodoo too!
3. Strega three!
Actually, this isn't that far fetched.

Re: Where's the Bear??
Point was, the retirement of Voodoo, Strega and any other heavy metal would not be the end of air racing. We'll find something to cheer about.
That's all.

Re: Where's the Bear??
Maybe Cub races are in the future!!........just think, a cub race around the big course. The stands would be packed for the start, as they come down the shoot and the Fiesler Storch pace plane pulls up and they head out to the north, people would then have time to visit that sani huts, stop by the vendors, go to the pits, and then regroup in the stands for the exciting finish of the one lap race......WOW.........

Imagine blistering down the valley of speed into a 25 knot headwind, watching rabbits pass them.

And yes, between laps could go order a cheese burger, hit the sanihuts, get a beer and be back in section 3 without missing a lap.
I like that idea

Re: Where's the Bear??
In order to allow enough time for the other classes to race, we better limit it to unlimited Cubs only.
I was also thinking, that it would have to be an early afternoon race. That way it would allow us enough time to form up going around Pevine, considering we all take off at sunrise.

Voodoo and Strega could theoretically show. Dago? No way in hell it could be ready even in stock form.
