Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at the Races

So some how in my miss guided youth I got married on Sept. 12.
We are planning on renewing our vows there somewhere in the pits.
(was hoping for on the ramp with Bear & Strega as the backdrop but we'd all have to wear green vests!)
Most likely it will be on Friday the 14th. Plans will be finalized by Monday...
Wow, I must be crazy and lucky my wife loves me so much.
Hope someone out there will have a camera, I will be wearing a tux...

I'm actually getting married next Monday the 10th at city hall here in SF.. I get to consider going to the races our honeymoon, though somehow I don't think my new wife will see it that way.

If it were me and the Mrs. says it's OK, then I go for the green vests and smile about it all the way home. What a potentially awesome photo op!

25 long years ago, "Tiger" and Strega were the Gold winners (RB only took 3rd). Perhaps you two can get a shot taken in front of that plane in the pits. If you told them what's going on, they might let you both on the other side of the ropes for a better profile shot angle.

Can't hurt to ask.

Thanks Wayne! We are actually going to stay in Tahoe with my family so that works out real nice like. My dad just retired as a 747 Delta pilot a few weeks ago, so he's booked a nice place for us all to stay.

She's actually been to Reno the last couple years and was with me last year at the races when the accident happened. She's still up for going again this year, so if that's not a reason to marry her, I don't know what is.
