I got excited by the thread title, I am looking forward to someday seeing CM race again!

Aren't swept wings an aerodynamic no-no on the closed course as far as perfomance is concerned?

Gary Levitz had swept wings(somewhat) & we never did find out how much it helped or hindered.

True. I forgot about the Lear wing. Not as dramatic a sweep though. I miss them.
