I thought the same thing about the cool sound she made and I was thinking that they may have been running a semi high engine rpm and a lower prop rpm for the qual compared to the higher prop rpm that Voodoo and Strega ran. That high prop rpm drowns out the engine pretty good till they pass by.
It wasn't till Friday’s race that they wicked her up, that's one of the reasons I was following jimmy on that lap as I knew he was running harder than ever before.
