Am I the only one who's still having trouble believing this real?
Time, is what we need for many of us to gain individual settling with our deep sadness, in the un-timely loss of 11 of what feels like our family members.....

I don't know what Contri will be flying Jimmy home in, but I hope they have a great flight....

Re: Jimmy Leeward Memorial Friday Sep.30
Is it all just a bad dream?
In all honesty , it kinda feels like 9/11 to me again...horrible re-televised scenes (including live footage) of the incident, terrible loss of lives, aircraft involved, crazy media reports, lovely memorials,... everything seems a blur, almost as if it were a frightening nightmare from last week.
But most of all, there's the wonderful way everyone came together in a great time of need to help those injured and/or in danger, just as Americans did almost exactly 10 years earlier, the Stead tragedy only missing that one-decade anniversary by FIVE DAYS!
It's almost eerie the similarities I've witnessed.

Re: Jimmy Leeward Memorial Friday Sep.30
This is so wrong, it can't be real. That's what I keep runnin' through my head...when the sights and sounds of those horrible few seconds aren't already running.
I wish everyone some sense of peace and may each and every day bring more of a sense of fond memories and less of a sense of loss.
I know where my heart will be tomorrow...as it is frequently every day these last couple weeks.
Hug your family folks...hug a friend...hug a stranger...you'll feel better if only for a moment. And a moment here and a moment there will get us through this together.

Let me offer you and the group - including the lurking Mr. Kerchenfaut (we love you too, Bill) - the first hug.
I'll be counting down the days 'til September. I want to hug every one of you in person.
I wish I had the chance to hug Jimmy one more time.
