    Super Corsair's first year was 1982 with Jim Maloney and Steve Hinton sharing the duties.

    The only 'first year' winners were Slovak in '64 (obviously), Dago Red in '82, Dreadnought in '83, and Stiletto in '84. There was that three-year period where it looked like in order to win you had to build something new....

      thanks for the corrections guys, my mind was blending years... i knew there was a debut winner in 84 but forgot about stiletto

              OMG... watching that, noticing the absence of wing root intakes, I remember Matt telling us that she was getting a boil off system...

              WOW.... talk about an unknown factor this year..

              I'm jazzed, can't believe it's only three weeks away!
