Will told me last night that the engine would be a "stocker".. in another thread Dan confirms this, directly from Bob Button..

It is the gold merlin that he has had for some time and is "basically" a stocker. Jack hovey built this engine.

I thought the engine that was in Voodoo was a stocker for the most part anyway.... I know it was all RR parts at least.

I can't wait to get there Wednesday!
I can't find the blog on that site.

Can you give a link or more specific information?

          Thank you

I heard Dago did 474 and some change at just 100" MP? I wonder if this has EVER been done before? That is really cooking at only 100 MP!

Rare Bear & 232 have exceeded 474 at way less than 100".

Different engines... Can't compare a merlin to a 3350. 3350 would blow the cylinder heads off at 100".

Each merlin is different and Dago ran very fast speeds in the past at low manifold pressures. Nothing new.

I think there were some 100 in hg runs with Conquest 1 on the 2800. Does it ring a bell with anyone?
