Ahh river smiver! I think the keyword is "navigable"... It was a darn trivia question somewhere on a quiz show... And, I'd guess, they were defining "navigable" as connected to the ocean, as in, navigable to far and wide..

Anyway.... just a bit of local color as I sit in Beer Nazi's "staging area for PRS" on the banks of the "other" major northwest river watching planes trains and automobiles from her easychair (yes, I did my chores so I could earn the right to sit on my keyster for a while)
