  • Nemesis Cleared for Landing, 36L, Oshkosh

Jon & Patricia Sharp, in the NemesisNXT, landed at Oshkosh AirVenture, 10:21 AM local time. “We have arrived!” exclaims Jon.

Kevin Eldredge, President of SLO Air flew chase in his beautiful Glasair with the NXT from Mojave, CA to AirVenture. (Of course, Jon slowed down so the two could stay in formation.) Blue skies and smooth air blessed the twosome all the way

“What an awesome trip in an awesome airplane! “, states Sharp.

    More to come!

Stay tuned for updates from Oshkosh, WI.

Sweet, glad everyone made it safely! It also looks like the vertical stab grew a bit.

From the Oshkosh picture the only observable airframe modification appears to be the vertical tail. This addition is not neccesarily related to increased power. Its probably always safe to say though that a racer is always looking to get more horsepower. Maybe you guys know something we don't?

            Nothing new but larger verticle.

Some interesting finds on this trip flying form next to my Glasair III.

At 9500ft. I burn 15.3 gallons and true at about 228kts, Nemesis was Burning a slight 9gph........That is a range of 2280nm at 228kts before your a glider.

I asked Jon to cruise at 15gph at 8500 on the return......results 15gph, 282 kts. Insane!!!!!! Range 1692 nm at 282kts.

I cannot wait for the flag to drop and see waht these machines are capable of.....

Hmmm..... Does that mean you'll be ready for the big dance in a few weeks?

And speaking of NXTs, can you tell us anything on other kits in progress?

Thanks for all the updates you provide!

                282 kts = 324 mph. At 15gph that's 21 mpg. Wow! Better than a Hummer H2.

                    Even better...

228 kts = 262 mph. At 9 gph that's 29Mpg... Now that is an efficent plane...

The only 42 dancing this year will be my trusty Glasair III, at the rear of the pack. Wish I could be driving Relentless but it just won't happen.

                      NXT Stats:

                      1. Nemesis-Fine tuning for Reno in-progress.
                      2. Wright Flyer- could be airborn in a few days. I think the sleeper to watch depending on who drives.
                      3. Lucky Mojo-Has been stripped of most parts but the ID plate for Relentless I am hiring another experinced builder to help put Gary's plane in high gear to be complete by Osh '07. Some very cool mods are planned cannot disclose now.
                      4. Relentless has new wing skin and all repairs are complete. Working on wheel wheels and a few other items I neglected druing first build.
                      5. Builder- top secret project not sure status.
                      6. Delivered to Ron Simard in Panama. He should be back from Osh and up to his *** in NXT videos. I know he is in high gear to complete first 720 NXT
Have several interested in delivery in Dec. this year but non confirmed....

                      Lots to do.
