Reno Air Races puts on 2020 VIRTUAL RACE WEEKEND!
We know our Air Race fans are disappointed with the cancellation of the 2020 STIHL National Championship Air Races. We feel your pain, which is why we have put together a special digital race weekend showcasing the 2018 and 2019 races, plus special features and interviews with some of our pilots!

Log into Facebook this weekend September 19th and 20th to catch the live stream. If you don't have a Facebook account be sure to sign up so you don't miss the action! The tentative start time will be 9am PDT on both days, but be on the look out for a more detailed schedule coming soon!

Nice idea, but I'll skip any affiliation with FB. Hopefully this will draw in some fans that might not otherwise be aware of the air races.

I was sitting here last thinking "I wouldn't even be home from the Quali's yet"
Every year I tell myself I won't put myself through the heat, sun, privation, etc. next year, but every year I go and do it again!
I think that's a definition of insanity?
The saving grace for me has been the fact that even without Covid they would not be able to fly in this smoke so it would have been a wash, or next postponed. Either way RARA would have lost their shirts on this.

I guess it is time to dig out the old videos and watch my airplane porn.

Bummer. I don’t get to hang with Leo on the ramp and watch arrivals and settle down for long race week.

He in his Vette and I in my truck
watching and discussing who will have the luck.
The sun will be hot, the beer will be cool
with visits from Dash, Smooter, and Tiger too.
Mustangs, Tigers, and Bears, oh my!
Any of which we’d love to fly.
At the end of the day, we will part ways
but no worries, we’re here for 9 more days!

Well, that’s how it usually goes. Maybe next year.

I'm hoping next year. I think I'll be out there early in the week.=, during the races themselves I will be working a booth if all goes as planned so will be a little caged except when I am periodically released for a break.
