Neal, your camera is busted. It seems to add 20lbs.
I don't want to drag out the argument but, a professional race team maybe not but you wouldn't believe some of the skills of these guys, not to mention what their "day jobs" are, it doesn't get more professional. You will also be hard pressed to get as many people around a plane as we do and not have chaos, don't ask me why it works it just does. It did at the hanger and did at Reno.
As for the "photo flight", it is a requirement to have the test flight. That added to the departure time as well as the weather that morning. Thom owns those planes in the picture and they have some pretty capable chase pilots flying them. Come on to Kissimmee Florida and fly with them. You can go to www.warbirdadventures.com to find out how.
Hmmm, I always though section 3 was weekend furlough with logos.
Actually, we are all on work release for the week....the govt sent us to prison for removing our mattress tags while the politicians that grounded the flying demo teams go scott free.....
I intended to mention that the photographer on the "photo flight" was Mike Killian of www.mikekillianphotography.com. The reason he was there for the test flight is because he had been there almost all night on Thursday, all day Friday, he left with Ross, Bobby, and myself, the last to leave Friday night besides Thom. Mike was at the hanger at 6am Saturday when we came in hoping to fly, the weather was bad and obviously he was still there when the weather cleared for the test. A real trooper.
Check out his other build pictures at his website and you will see he was there for most of the work.
