The museum designers have "mounted" the world famous airplane within a depression built into the floor of the mammoth structure created to house it. An approximation of the eye level that it would have been observed during its brief stay on the waters of Long Beach Harbor is the effect of this positioning. No matter how you view this airplane, it boggles your sense of perspective. It is huge!
