    So what is the story on the prop? Does that particular prop have a history or other factors that make it less desirable? Always love to have an opportunity to learn more about stuff like that!

    That's the same prop it had on it when Sandberg rebuilt it in 1984 and when Gary sold it in 1993. He never really had any race problems with it, but then again he probably never used the same kind of RPM that you guys ran on Ridge Runner.

    This Mustang also used to be owned by the late Bud Fountain. I used to work with his widow. She used to talk alot about riding in the back seat quite a bit.

    Interesting they're using an Aeroproducts P-51H prop. You don't see too many of those anymore.

    Those guys were after Gary for YEARS to buy that plane from him. Not sure why they wanted THAT ONE so much, but you can see from the pics that it is still a nice slick airframe, courtesy of the "Tipsy Too" rebuild in 1983/84.
