      Re: Tsunami rebuild update

I just love seeing the progress posted here.

So nice to see something positive for our sport.

If they bring the fuselage to Reno 2021, there will be a lot of smiling faces at their booth.

Sure will bring some much needed energy to the warbird classes.

Maybe time to do away with the "unlimited' and maybe say "Super Sport" or something for the top warbird class?

      Cheers

Not all the designs are online, but if you shoot Sharron an email, she can help you out.

I will also add, they need some donations/tshirt sales to fund the next order of materials. I donated $50 last night. I know times are tough, but lets see if we can help them out.

                    I found one more.

Mr Sandberg showed us the way.

I mean it has to be small and powerfull to win.

During the 1988 National Championship Air Races the television series Hidden Heroes follows John Sandberg and Tsunami as they take on the competition in Reno.

The guys haven't been sitting around, work is progressing.

Started drilling the fuselage skins today and just about finished fabricating the rudder pedal assembly.

Here is a link to Sharon Sandberg's newsletter. Not really any new info, but there is some info on a couple of the former Tsunami crew.

August 19, 2020 In a normal non-COVID-19 year, our group would be counting done the weeks, then days leading to our departure for the Reno Air Races....

Sad to hear that two of the Tsunami crew have passed. They helped create a lot of memories.

Great to see the photo updates on the rebuild. Gives great perspective on the inner workings.

While this isn't about the rebuild of Tsunami, it is about the original build and first trip to Reno in 1986. Its worth a read.
