Just read Hugh Ambrose's book, The Pacific, which the HBO series is based on. One of the real characters in the book flew the SB2C and pretty much summed up all the shortcomings listed in the article. He much preferred flying the older Dauntless.

Hopefully this aircraft will be on display someday.
