IMO, they were a lot closer than their results showed this year. Take away one bad ADI valve and one bad decision not to change some fouled plugs, and you'd have had three fast Mustangs in the final, one of which was my pre-game pick to win it all (Dago Red).Originally posted by Peashooter

DOUBLE WHAMMY!!!! Not only does bringing Dave Cornell back into the Rare Bear 'fold', but it TAKES Dave Cornell away from one Tiger Bill's team.
Dave was one of the key players in bringing Da Bear to it's most competitive phase back in the '87-91 time period...and with the financing Rod Lewis is bringing to the table, I'd say a few more MPH was just added to old #77.
They're only ONE pilot away from being right in the thick of things again. Not gonna name names, but it's only a hop, ____, and a jump away!Comment

Partial head gasket failure allowing coolant into a single cylinder (back left as evidenced by the photos). Tiger felt the problem developing for a lap or two and tried to stay down on the course as long as possible. As the vibration worsened, he said screw it. It wouldn't take much more than 100 inches I think they said._________
