I went to the 2023 Sport Air Racing League (SARL) "BLUEGRASS 150" race this past weekend at Cynthiana KY. A different kind of air race, similar to the cross country Bendix type races of yesteryear . The planes that race are divided up in classes by type and race a set course to points of latitude and longitude for the turns. Elapsed time is kept, to determine the winners in each class.. This particular race ended and started at the same airport. Had a great time and met great people. This set of photos are from the race start. The progress of the racers could be tracked on a screen using their ADS-B reporting.
