Victor, I would like to respectfully point out that to be a Mouse engine it would have had to built by Mystery Aire LTD, an entity which no longer exists. The engines which you are desribing are Allison Rod engines. Dwight Thorn has been very clear to everyone that "Mouse engines" and "Mouse motors" are his monikers, somewhat like taking one of your montage pictures and changing some small detail and calling it their own. I'm not sure we met at PRS. I know someone would never make such remarks without actually seeing the airplane in person. That would be a little ignorant to do such a thing.
What you are actually seeing is the result of running at altitude with the Mixture a little rich.
If you would like to see oil down the side of an airplane, stop by a racer that is running a radial.
