My prayers are going 100 MPH+.
I know the Brown family well from working with them in the Biplane class. Mr. Brown is truly one of the good guys. I hope all goes well and his return is forthcomming. wolfee |

The article is a bit sketchy...
"Authorities believe they found on top of frozen Marlette Lake the missing airplane" In what condition was it found??? and no pilot??? Lets pray he's OK and just waiting to be picked up... |

Yes, The article is a bit sketchy... It's also very irresponsible journalism. "Authorities believe they found on top of frozen Marlette Lake the missing airplane" What they have found is the tail of the aircraft above the ice. As much as we would all like to have some glitter of hope, I have just been told by someone on the scene that it has been officially verified there is a body in the aircraft. Steve is a great guy, a very good friend for more that 20 years. He will be sadly missed. Chris Farinha. |

I am truly heart broken for the Brown family. Blue skies Steve. May your memory live on with those of us you touched in the past. You will be missed. Wolfee |

Here is Steve and his racer at PRS last summer. He was instructing, and brought the airplane to fly with the students during course time.
http://www.aafo.com/hangartalk/showthread.php?t=3224 Steve raced from 1990 to 2006, and brought the airplane from a150 mph stocker to a Gold race regular running at up to 212 mph. His father Stan raced from 1974 to 1990. Steve was a really good guy, and will be missed... |
