    My Father took this photo in '48 or '49 as my father raced formula 1's back then. I gave the original to Jimmy last year. He was very thankful and had me write about my father on the back of the photo. Then he took me inside the trailer and showed me some original race posters from Cleveland. He was a very nice gentleman that I will never forget.

            Just read the Cleveland Years story. How come the motor could turn 60 MAP before ADI and only 40 after the ADI system from that P-47 was added? Thanks for posting. Now I know the significance SOHIO and Bendix played on the Galloping Ghost.

              My Father's plane with the SOHIO sticker. I asked him once if he got money for that, he laughed and said they got some free gas. Said they had ceramic (BIG) stickers for free spark plugs and Kendall stickers for oil.
