Nothing as far as I know. It's still sitting in one of the Sander's hangars without a motor.

It is a shame, someone should buy it and turn it back to stock.

If I'm not mistaken, no Sea Fury's were running on race Sunday 2010.
            Pretty rare !

So strange not to have even a single Sea Fury in 2010.

There was a time not so very long ago that you couldn't throw a rock on the ramp and not hit a Sea Fury. I thought the races were going to become the "National Sea Fury Air Races", there were so many of them........

Word has it that owner is having new race engine built. It is his intention of fielding the aircraft at Reno once again as a race plane. September Fury will return to compete once again at Reno.

It will be interesting to see if that actually happens. I had heard that was more of a plan B. Any idea who the pilot might be?

No idea on pilot. I am sure he has several guys offering their services. I do know that there is a great deal of money being spent on building an engine, not to have it go. Rare Bear is on track again, so I don't understand the plan B comment. Rod has been a big supporter of the Air Races. Its his goal to keep the field competitive and therefore September Fury is going as far as I know. In my opinion the more the better.
