  • " No cost FUN airliner ! "

    Hi !

Been playing around with this economy plane and came up with a small airliner of 15 seats ( 12 passengers ).

I lowered the top speed of the LEARFAN 2100 concept and incorporated these lifting body and ground effect ideas to get it cheap to fly...and guess what..that looks also aerobatic.

There would be no end to customers if you made few rolls and a loop enroute to the destination and cost to operate the kite was 1/3 of any jetairliner..downside would be to be 1 or 2 hours later at the destination.

Also the plane has view to front and above ( perhaps down too ) to all customers...and lavatory and food onboard of course.

    What do ya say ?

    PS:

I had this published on a site in Finland and it lived less than 24 hours ( 1 800 hits in that time ). I also did a survey first about how slow could you in the name of economy and ecology be possibly travelling to your destination. 52% said 300-240 kts is enuf and 36% did not specify their speed rest thought even less is enuf. Some people tought I have eaten mushrooms to do something like this !

I love it. Hopefully some major player employs me now.

    I made some mods.

Lookout terrace at the front adds a seat ...and smaller wings ( lateral control surfaces ), but more lifting area.

I think the need for long gearlegs is lower when there are two props. The ram air effect of the cooling can be put into effect cleanly.
Also the rudder being aft the props will lessen the disturbed airflow into the props ( and works better as a rudder )..also exhausts can be driven past the props.

Mostly I think the lighter fuse and wing will give the most benefit...along the lift generating fuse and elevator surfaces.

      Hey BTW, don't forget this.

XB-42 was in par or faster than LF 2100 ( 410 mph vs 350 kts )..surprise to me.

      XB-42 was a piston AC.

I wonder how old an idea a pusher prop in tip an of anextension shaft is ?

      1912 ?
