....yes in reality the class you call should be correct.

    slow down to go fast.
Uh...here is the insert from the link:

    Current General Aviation World Records
    Sub-class : C-1d (Landplanes: take off weight 1750 to 3000 kg)

There is not 1760 kg, but it is in between 1750 kg and 3000 kg.

Ok..now I see it...maybe transfering back and forth lbs to kg without decimals enough will distort the figure ?

...and the JPX is not made by VALMET I heard, but french company.

Thanks for confidence, I don't have enough data to go on. Jon and Lycoming have been (justifiably) pretty cagey about power levels, and no one can give me any accurate information on prop efficiency.

The NXT is a good airframe, it's an open question what it's capable of in a straight line at sea level. Given equal engines, the beluga Legacy is faster though.

Jon's prop is amazing. I've never seen such a thin section. We walked the Sport Hangar with a knowledgable racer last year and he said the race prop has a 25 hr TBO. Just enough for race week.
