plus three "accredited" light bulb changers who won't do it unless they get to use their professional equipment, because providing light to the masses is too important to be done with simple cardboard tools.

              (its a joke, people!)

                      Great one!
Of course the light bulb can't be changed without an environmental study, then a committee of engineers will have to meet to draw up specifications for the light bulb and an approved process for it's budget, procurement, changing method, required staff and disposal of the old bulb. Once the processing is completed and the proper permits aquired and funds allocated, a contractor can then be hired (by public bid) to actually do the work. They will arrive to find a candle has been substituted during the year it has taken to go thru the proper channels...

Has anyone considered that the lightbulb may not want to be changed?

                          Re: Air Race Fans.....

Okay, I gotta confess.......I swiped some of the content fromt the first post of this thread and changed the title a bit to reflect those of us that also frequent other threads about airplanes and such (Warbird Information Exchange...WIX). It was just too dang funny not to share with others.

Anyway, some of the responses are similar to what you've seen here, but I ended up making another post on the thread that pokes a little fun at myself. I've been part of a little thread on WIX where I've given semi-daily updates of our work on the B-24 (7 months...nearly 300,000 views), and my "light bulb" post, on page 2, is making fun of my B-24 stuff.

I reckon I just felt guilty about taking your hilarious topic about changing the light bulb (which fits the WIX folks well too) and moving it somewhere else...I hope I didn't step on anyone's toes. So here's a link to the "other" site for y'all to view.
