We seem to have slowed a bit now. Or as the media would say, "The rib cookoff is gaining strength. It's too close to call this one just yet."

What is your favorite summertime special event? After voting, e-mail your name, town, phone and comments on your usage to business@rgj.com
      Rib cookoff 0.72 % (1)
      Hot August Nights 0.00 % (0)

I'm just in shock that we have not seen any pics or posts about this dynamic (buuuuurp) performance.
When I first saw the Saab Demo Team listed for Reno, I got all excited thinking we were going to see the Sacramento-based Draken fly.

Used to go to RedBluff Ca every year way back when and watch "Crazy Horse"(the top fuel flat bottom draboat) race, no capsule just a chute on the driver, it is real exciting to watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like a pretty fast fishing boat. Can you race those?

True...but I'll change undies for the APBA Gold Cup, UIM World Championship, and the 'hometown' race at Seafair....which we all took this year. That's worth an extra trip to K Mart for some Fruit of the Loom!

And you know, Jarrod...I don't think we've ever tried trolling off the back of it...but it might come up with some interesting results!

Back when my dad and I built our boat, we had a guy set up and align the engine mounts, v-drive, etc. for us. Name was Ron Campanelli (sp). At the time he was building and maintaining the 2 fastest blown fuel hydro's around, "Lickety Split" and "Down and Out", both running just below 200 mph. One seriously strange (and nice) group of guys!
I've been at 80 on the water, and 65 on a ski, I cannot imagine 200 or more...Surprised the brass does'nt sink em'.

I wanna play! I still haven't bought a flat bottom for myself yet, YET, but I was raised a Hot Boater first. Many of my weekends with the family out at Lahonton always seemed to include a visit from Sunny who built a couple of flats for my uncle. Still one of my all time favorite crafts of any kind, My Boat Too.
