  • Reno pictures finally up!

Well I finally went through my pictures. It was a real learning experience this year. I opened up the box containing the camera and lenses the night before I left for Reno.
I would like to thank everyone here who gave me advice and answered my questions.

The rest of them can be found here http://www.pbase.com/jarrodeu/reno2006&page=all

That's the replica Martin-Baker MB-5. Looks like the engine's been run judging by the sooty exhaust stacks. Anybody know if it's flown yet?

Don't know but the last time I checked the P-39 has its engine behind the pilot.

You are not wrong. And neither is Peas. That is the Martin Baker MB 5 REPLICA. Man do I wish the real thing was around. I think is wins my "most beautiful WWII era single engine fighter award".

CAF Hellcat. I don't think the registry is fully up to date. I believe this is currently being maintained by the Camarillo wing.

This site tracks the history of all Grumman F6F Hellcats that survived military service.

It sure didn't look flyable, but we can continue to hope.

Jarrod, please don't ask for advice if you're going to take better pictures than me. It's bad for the ole ego. Looks as if you have a steady hand, and a good sense of when to push the button. Great stuff. What's the story behind the tape on the fire truck driver's mouth?
                    No pixels were harmed, honest.
