    If your talking about the XC-99, your gonna have to talk to the Air Force about this one, as this is the one and only one ever made.

        Just think of the XC-99 as a B-36 with an 'overpressurized' fuselage.

          The last KC-97 at Stockon was also held up in litigation, as I recall, and was eventually scrapped. The cockpit was saved (and maybe the engines), but the rest of it was disposed of.

            Great pictures. Do you know if the 1955 Philadelphia Air Show was actually in the city or was it really out at Willow Grove NAS?

            I can't imagine that what is now the international airport or the Northeast Philadelphia airport could've handled a monster like the XC-99. Johnsville wouldn't have been big enough.

            This former Delaware Valley resident is curious...
