Speed, what part of this was unclear??? If you think Lyle would ever consent to let DG come near his aircraft, I'll let you do the presentation. Bring your armor.

I'll be the one in back betting on the big man...

Speed, what part of this wasn't obvious?

If you want to escort DG over to Lyle and make the proposal, bring your armor. I'll be on the sidelines betting on the big man.

In case that's too oblique, Lyle won several boxing matches in his day and very little would be left of DG if they were ever put into a small room together. No, time has not healed all wounds. Even today, Lyle could probably take on any half dozen unlimited crew men and come out on top. Anyone close to air racing knows that trying to pair DG up with Lyle would not be analogous to Little-Hanauer. Any true analog would be politically incorrect.

This reminds me of minter field last year when I suggested to Skip's wife he should fly Strega. She said....."you go over there and tell Tiger and see what happens.....come on do it" Some combinations will never happen.

And, IMO, that is what made the racing so fantastic in the very late 80s and very early 90s. Skip (as it was meant to be) coaxed the best-ever performances from moody Tsunami (though still far from its theoretical peak), and I became convinced Tsunami was one of God's own creations (or maybe Skip?). Slightly overhead, Tiger and Lyle relentlessly, directly hounded each other from the respective seats of these time machines they passionately created, Dago cowered in a museum somewhere (which was fine with me), and Dreadnought dutifully blocked for the front three until at least one of them had to quit. Records were set in the process, and memories were being forged into the stuff of legends.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... Oh man I almost launched my IBC cream soda all over Mr. B's keyboard. Anyway Ron WILL be in the bear so you can all put that to rest. As far as a pilot Lyle can groom what the hell do you think Ron is. They have become like family in the past year, and have an awesome relationship. It's just the way Ron is.... If he likes you your family!!! Nuf said.
I have been here for almost a week now, and all I can say is WOW! His personal Bearcat is UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it's steel it has been chrome plated, and if it's aluminium it has been polished... EVERYTHING! From the brackets all the way down to the QEC and landing gear. The most beautiful warbird I have EVER seen. Well the beech Super 18 sitting right next to it is pretty sick(sick means awesome in super way out cali terms). I will post some pics if Ron says it's ok when I get back. I am a little worried... Does anybody know if it's bad to have a woody for prolonged periods of time? It's starting to shake and turn purple.

So, if Ron is in the Bear, who's flying PM?

It'll be safely sitting on the ground where it can't hurt anyone.

Randy, while I certainly respect the professional judgement of a 15E pilot, I don't understand the reason for the implication on PM. Not to name names, but people close to the bird talk to me and I do not hear anything that would warrant this kind of comment.
