  • Air Race Notebook

Is there anyone out there in air racing land who remebers, or subscribed to Bruce Dey's 'Air Race Notebook' from back in the 1980's? I was digging around in my stuff and came across a whole stack of issues--from issue #1 in Spring of 1983, until sometime after the 1988 races...but then it was like they just stopped.

Bruce passed away from cancer several years ago, but I was wondering if anyone else out there shared in the joy of this little publication while it lasted. Had some nice drawings, and (as they went on), some great historical articles.

I was also a subscriber and have most of the issues. I corresponded with Bruce at that time and was impressed by his skills and knowledge. I often wondered what had become of him. I believe that he was one of the first persons to attempt to compile a complete list of pilots, siginificant persons and the aircraft of post-WWII races.
