Not bad, though I'm not sure of the Mark # on Gord's example.

Here's another -- should be fairly easy...

A couple more shote of the CL. I've never figured out why nobody in the US ever bought any of these things -- as long as there's a lake nearby they can do many drops in a short time -- many more than any land based airplane. They are strong and relatively simple, and they are designed for the job. They are operated all over the world and by all accounts are a remarkably effective tool...

This Russian float plane is cute too..or what do you think ?

Little bit of paint would not have hurt it a bit ?

As recall they were tested in Calif., but deemed too expensive to purchase in light of the relatively cheap aircraft that were in use. Now that most large load bombers are gone or grounded, I can't see how it's cheaper to have Air guard C-130's do the bg jobs.
Seems to me that a dedicated air tanker would be the best tool for the job, and does'nt just about every other country that has a force operate some CL's?

Clutch Cargo used the Syncro-Vox animation process were the actors lips are imposed on a VERY simple drawing. Very similiar to the interviews that Conan O'Brien does with the president, etc.
Definately not complicated, as I remember each "scene" was very static (sorry, art and animation geek).
But when I was a kid I sure dug it!
But then, I was a big Thunderbirds and Johnny Quest fan also, cool toys.

Thunderbirds rock! Johnny Quest and Hadji are due to make the animated version of Brokeback Mountain...

What was the Japanese 'toon with Hyata? That was a weird one, too!

'Course, my daughter introduced me to Action League Now! Says my photo on my open water c-card looks like "Stinky Diver."

I always thought there was somethng there... LOL
JQ had some of the best artwork of the time.
I've never been a fan of the Anime style, too much smilairity between artist's style and it all reminds me of Speed Racer. ome of the art is pretty spectacular tho.
Anyone remember eavy Metal midnight matinee's, and the magazine?
Can anyone tell me what this all has to do with the water birds?

Now THAT'S a sea bird, (watch your taxi speed).

P.S. They only drew Clutch & gang, from the waist-up, to simpify not having to draw legs & feet

                              Convair XF2Y-1 Sea Dart?
Always amazed at how they tried to solve aviation problems in the 40's and 50's. Some great experimental aircraft came out of that era.
