Here are some more photos taken by Hacker out at the fenceline in '91, as per his request. Not too bad for a kid taking pics like this for the first time, eh?

No, it is Risky Business....before the upswept tips, and the race number on the wings. I was going to make a smart-ass comment about how wide Rhino happens to be flying in that picture...but don't want to disrespect R.R. TOO much. :-)

Voodoo (former Pegasus) was purchased from the Bill Speer estate in 1995.

I love the "bent prop" look in some of those.

Off-topic: anybody know what ever happened to Sandburg's stunning "Platinum Plus" ??

You mean 'stunning on the outside, POS inside', right?

Interesting to see that the Bear was running the 3-blader in '91. Anyone know when they first started running that prop? I know they've since gone back to the four-blade, but I'd be curious to know when the 3-blader first showed up.

And nice job on all of the pics Randy. My favorite (naturally) is the shot of Strega.

1990 was the first year for the 3-blader in competition. They had been testing it in '89 for the 3km run, but ran out of time.

A well-respected friend of mine frequently called it the 'worst Mustang restoration' he had ever seen. Looked great on the outside, but.....
