Hey Nick, you're focused on the wrong airplane there! -ha

What would be the correct file handler for the mp4's??

It's probably going to prompt you to download them at this time...

        Wayne,

You know I'm not sure. There was some debate on the board last time I whined about this that MPEG4 (.mp4) is a quicktime format that Bill Gates is boycotting. It doesn't really matter to me now that I've found a reasoanble alternative that the board accepts. I'll try a couple of tests tonight to see what the board asks me for.

          that's what I thought

OK Wayne, here is a test. Spirit of Texas this time also from the Gold race on sunday.

The first file is .mp4 listed on my mac as file type MPEG 4 movie
The second is .mov with the Sorenson compresion listed as file type Quick time Movie. It didn't ask me any questions when I uploaded them.

You tell me which looks better. I vote for the Quick time .mov file. that's probably unfair as the .mov file is 10 times the size of the mp4, but I don't care about size, it's quality I'm after.

What, you say that's not what she said?

I see what you mean. When I try to run the mp4 file, my mac doesn't know what to do with the .bhp file that results. Also interesting is I can't select Quick time to open it with as it's grayed out in the navigation window. Strange it doesn't have the same reaction to the .mov file since it also comes up labeled.php

              Re: Video Test 2005

Hmmm saving it as an attachment then opening it from within Quick time didn't help either. It's hopelessly scrambled.

Guess I'll stick to .mov files with Sorenson compression since they seem to work pretty well.

One more from sunday lap 3...i think. I'll have to go back and count when I'm awake.

                Fury

Ooh oh... looking ahead, there are some nice passes coming up. On the last lap Rare Bear passes half the field.

I'll put in a vote for a Buick solo pass.... I *love* the sound of that 4360! The audio is, for me, as good as the visual in these clips. You can even hear the different exhaust tone between Fury and Spirit of Texas. Great work!

Let's see... you get to watch live action and I'm stuck here watching video tape and you want me to feel sorry for you? Boo hoo.

Sorry about that, once you've been on a cable modem, you never want to go back.

                            Lap count

Have they changed the way they count laps? I just reveiwed my tape of the unlimited gold (not cuts runs continueously) and Rare Bear passed by the Valley of Speed 8 times. they used to count from the first time by the home pylon. that would be 7 laps. Are they now counting from gentlmen you have a race?

Dreadnaught (the Buick) gold Lap 5

Did somebody request another Dreadnaught pass?
Lap 5 alone in second place.
