Video Test 2005

OK I've been fooling with this for too long now, and I'm getting bummed that FENCELINER is having all the fun posting video, so here are a couple of tests. Let me know if they look OK to you. They are not as good as the originals but this seems to be a reasonable compromise between quality and file size.

Here is 14 seconds of the first pass down the valley of speed during the Sunday Gold Unlimited Race. It's a 3.8 MB Quick time moview file I expported from final Cut Express 2 using Sorrinson compression. It should show up in 16:9 "letterbox" format.

Hmmm this one didn't come out as good. It's a shot of Strega Running up the 2nd race motor on the ramp after dark. The blue flames got compressed too much I think, but the sound it good.

OK one last one for tonight, it's getting late. For the Voodoo fans in the audience. By the way, I got the chance to talk to Bob Button on the ramp this year. What a great guy. I've got some unbeleivable footage of Bob and the crew doing a compression check I'll share with you later. For now....VoS.

Bill - thanks very much for taking the time to post the clips. I get very excited when I see the little projector icon. It's like opening little Christmas presents! I love the Strega blue flame clip - too bad the compression hurt it. Was it an mpeg-3 or -4 in QT?? I can't tell from the file properties.
