  • mustang over stead

there was a mustang over stead today sounded like test flights, wings seemed to be cut (it was 10 miles away from me so it was hard to tell) it was natural metal with no discernable markings, anybody have a clue as to who belongs to it?

Saw it too Matt, looked like Crusader. Yellow-orange wing tips and tail tips, silver fus.
Was it left here after the races?

That would make sense. On Thursday of the races, Crusader was pushed into one of the hangars across from RARA, and kept in there the rest of the weekend. Probably 'fixed' now.

My wife hates it when I stop her in mid-sentence, pause for one second, then go running out side to see who is up there. He was already past when I got out there and spotted him but, I would say Crusader is a good guess.
You'll get your chance, smart guy!

Mine expect it now, even makes sure she' out of the way!
She says "bye" and lets us go, my son usually beats me to the door.
Yesterday was "Mustang! Go!", she even brought me the glasses.
Crusader circled for awhile, I saw at least 5 time around Stead, before landing.

I also saw it, I agree it looked like Crusader.

As for the door run, my wife still dosn't like it, but at least accepts it!

                Re: mustang over stead

We've worked it out over the years. The son and I get teased about it but she no longer gets annoyed. During the weeks around racing it is accepted that most of our time will be spent either in the yard with our necks craned or running thru the house in transit.
When we pass an airport in the car the hand creeps over to grab the wheel so I don't drive us off the road...
I can finally drive past Stead now, most of the time, without staring over at it, trying to see SOMETHING.
