  • Voodoo Markings

    Hi,

I am making a model of Voodoo from this year and have -2- questions.

    1. What color is Voodoo's cockpit, incliding the seats?

    2. What are the words on the undersides of the flaps?

May all your bert wings be F2G Corsairs!

    Kenn-
I'm afraid I'm no help on the info you need, but I would love to see pics of your project, along with any other racer models. If you can print custom decals or cast parts in resin, maybe we can work out a trade. I have a Sherline lathe and mill. See my post about model projects.

        Re: Voodoo Markings

        Jason,

I can't really print decals too good. I just use my old HP inkjet printer and print onto decal paper. I try to match background color as best as I can if I have white lettering.

I don't do resin casting, just whittle parts out of styrene. I'm kinda new at plastic modification and usually build controline models. As I put it, I only have -3- problems making plactic models.....I can't glue, I can't paint, and I can't apply decals!

I work for one of the newer sponsors in air racing and am making a 1/48th display of the planes that have the company logo on. Just trying to get some parity with all the race car models around the office!

I have been to the Voodoo site before but thanks for the reminder. I see they have a few new pictures up. Now if I can just find one of the right bottom flap!

        TTFN....Kenn

            Re: Voodoo Markings

I'm here and thanks for the plug. In 2003 Voodoo had on the flaps "Crystal Clear Logos, Inc." Right gear door says "Dad, this ride's for you 2/26-12/75". On the left gear door it says "Painted by Aircraft Refinishers of South Texas Inc". Here is Voodoo in 2003:

In 2004 the Moto Art was omitted.

Hope this helps. No cockpit photos... sorry.

I mean really, that first photo is kind of blurry.
I think you need some more practice.

Naa, that's just the cover story, actually, it's a turbine powered gate opener/hangar door snow removal tool.. Word has it that they will be big sellers out at Stead, with John Parker having paid in advance already for his unit, which will be serial #001... but then, this is supposed to be a secret....

                          Re: Voodoo Markings

Thanks for all the kind words. I'll see if I can take better photos next year. I'm just a dork with a nice camera. That's me in the yellow sweatshirt right Vic?

Anyway, if you are going to make anything turbine, why not make it twin turbine?!... That would make for one helluva bicycle!

                          Bill

                          P.S., I need new boots.
