Found some very interesting articles written by aircraft engine enthusiast Graham White.

    "Reno for Gearheads"

    "Reno from the Pitts"

"More on Cooling Airplane Engines from Graham White"

These articles go into the most incredible detail concerning the building and tuning of racing aircraft engines that I have ever read.

    Here's another great link:

Imagine your own R-2800! "Honey, can I run my engine now?" Would make a monster leaf blower.

Or after running your Merlin with the updraft carb, you wife asks, "Dear, have you seen the cat?"

    Reminiscent of MA-II ingesting a bird...'98?

      Haahaha !

I just tried to run the AP on my TS II racer model..seems that I have to buy a new better engine..this stops everytime after 1 minute of running...will run though if the ignition is kept attached.

Wonder if the extra nitro will help it to run ?

      Any ideas ?

PS: those were really interesting reading.

            Ok,

I tried it with new fuel ( Cool Power ) with 15 % nitro and it runs 16 100 rpm...that is plausible now....with a 7/4 prop and 11 700 rpm with a 8/6 prop ( it nearly pulls my arm away with that prop ). Now I just have to wait for the weather to settle for the test flight. Runs really smoothly too.

All systems are now 100 % go.

            Later,
