D0 252 .....577mph in 1948 ( and XB42 Mixmaster ) ?

Some speculative data.

At luft 46 was introduced a twinengine fastmover Dornier 252.
Two 1750 hp Jumo 213J engines were to propell the vehicle at 577 mph ( even 930 km/h ).

Some similarities to XB 42 mixmaster..which also had very impressive figures.

believe it or not clay, the do335 was armed with an ejection seat, presumably so would the do252 have been

Yeah the 252/3 really does..they must have exchanged data from Do 335 or to it.
Expected top speed 577 mph with tons of radar equipment and armament..and as a racer...610 mph..maybe ?

Also when you compare the Mixmaster data you can be confirmed about the efficiency of a pusherprop layout. It was able to fly at 35 000+ lbs weight with just two 1 300 hp engines very long distances at great speed..equivalent of a 25 seater jet passenger plane easily.

And explosive removal of the rear prop. Dont remember if the top stab went too. Something about blowing the plane up around me when I want out is unsettling...

Well Leo that is an interesting detail..why not just use a Martin Baker..or land it on a desert floor.

I figured 50 passengers ( on the payload of a Mixmaster ) could be carried to nearly 6000 km distance..when the V-1710-125s were moving the pusher at 312 mph speed.

The Allison V-1710-125 war emergency powersetting was 1800 hp. Engine was apparently only used in a XA/XB 42 Mixmaster. Is there any of them around ?

where exactly would you fit these passengers juke? the engines sit in the middle and aft fuse...

also, this was a paper plane, and for the most part, experimental planes such as this rarely reached projected top speeds...

clay, i don't believe it was either, if i remember right it was a piston connected to the chair, possibly pressurized by o2 which launched the pilot

So you have some unfinished then..let's see'em !

What do you think of the co-pilot position on mine. I have tried to apply boat interior designing concept on this...put everything as logically but practically as possible..lotsa legroom for all 4 passengers..well there is a 8 seater too where this came from.
