Bill, That's why my Vortex is "new", and why I've learned to warm up with a "foamie"! I've had two encounters with "ground-based objects" at warp speed. We're talking immediate reduction to carbon tooth picks.

I've been to Torrey Pines to watch the doings a few times over the years, but I've never flown there. The site is a national treasure for slope-soaring air junkies, no matter what they fly.

Here's a shot from Parker Mt., yesterday. (Acton, CA) Jason diving his JW into a DS pass. The JW is a nice 60" foamie; durable, but capable. I put a few minor crunches on my new Vortex. Landing at Parker is like hitting a carrier deck at night in bad weather! It will fly again -- TODAY! Peas

OK, Parker Mt. was AWESOME on Thursday. BUT, I found out what VNE means. See below. Actually, upon examination, the wing spar to skin bond area was not adequate. (Not my work...) It was fast and spectacular. There one second, gone the next. Peas
