  • "Shockwave" JEt Powered Truck.

Duing an Airshow in MI as the Jet powered truck raced down the runway against inverted airplanes one of the pyrotechnics seemed to go off early causing "Shockwave" to crash killing the driver. Story & video on TV & internet. Prayers to family & friends.

The Pyro had nothing to do with the crash. It was mechanical failure.

Looks like a rear tire came apart at the worst possible moment and started tearing stuff up.

The tires failed when a bunch of turbine parts went through them.

I absolutely love watching "Daredevils" do their stuff.. all too often these days, it seems that the fact that chit can go very wrong in demo's where high speed is involved.. I'm not sure it's worth it.

Quick search on youtube shows so many low level acro maneuvers by experienced pilots that go tragically wrong..

Probably kind of stupid to point the nose of an aircraft at the ground then rely on your eyes and experience to ensure you pull out in time..

Sorry.. probably watching too much youtube.
