Don Ryder's son Jason is reporting on fb that Don "passed away peacefully on the 5th of February 2022."

Steeped in a community of air race fans and pilots, Don, Chuck Aro, Ken Carter, Hersh Roak, Bill Lesanche, Vic Milford, and Jack and Sylvia Sweeney, created the National Air Racing group, of which Don was also an early editor of the NAG Rag.
