  • Fire Fighting Air Tanker Crash, Fatal

A single engine tanker crash at the Estes Park, CO fire. It was suppose to be a night time drop with the plane equipped with a special setup including night sight goggles. The pilot had 32 years of military flying with at least 8,000 hours. Everyone called him "Thor" Blue Skies & Tailwinds.

SEATs do not have a good record as air tankers. Its sad that someone with as many hours as he did lost his life in one.

      RIP.

Our good friend Dialtapper was/is third seater on the Global Super Tanker... These guys are warriors no two ways about it! If you have not seen the documentary on the 747 GST, simply breathtaking to see a Whale doing what they do with that thing!

Dialtapper now flying SOFIA for NASA!!!!!!!

Blue skies and raise one for the lost airman today
