    Very cool!
Was it Fence Sense that found a piece out there a while ago? Fence?
I have the patches and pins from '78 on (I started going in '76 but didn't buy anything like that) Also a bunch of odd stuff but nothing consistent (Parts, passes, programs, posters, on and on).
My wife and son have been suggesting I put together frames for them. I keep telling her it will take up a TON of wallspace. My home office is already full of books and my paintings so unless I can steal another room it ain't happening!
    Can we see?

Yup, it was me. It’s currently on display in my backyard. Found it while researching the whole ‘64-‘65 Sky Ranch site/course change thread over on the WAP site. Sure wish we could somehow transfer that thread from wherever it is now over to here. I felt it was at least kind of important to NCAR history even if I was the only one who seemed to realize the courses were completely different from ‘64-‘65. I solved a mystery nobody knew existed.

What are you looking for, Jack?

I recently watched a PBS show called "Pylon Chasers". During the history segment it showed a couple of short (very short) clips of before and after of the original site.
All of us with interest know where it is but you are the only one I know that has gone out there and poked around. I have visited several crash sites of racers around here and have bits and pieces. One day I need to root around out there.

    How small?

I believe that the Marston Mat was only in place for ‘65. ‘64 was dirt.
