  • Live music on the ramp last night

If you happen to be on the ramp during the Saturday evening you were treated to some great live music. Not only was their a band but they had a food truck and somebody else selling wine and bear.

    Good to hear.

It's looooong past time we had Pit Parties during Race Week. The pits are basically dead after 1900hrs.

Let's get folks to stick around and make it fun again!

If you can remember a smoke oil party you weren't really there...

Last one I don't remember was a few years before Jimmy's accident... He was like a little kid showing BeerNazi and I the ingredients under cover, under the table prior to the MIX cerimony!

            Pit parties were absolutely delightful!

Talk about pit parties. I was at most of Al Goss &" Warlock" Wed. nights. I remember Mary Dilda leading a Congo line of about 150 of us with live music & Smoke oil. " We Race For Beer" banner on the Trailer. It was fun in those days.

Wayne and I were just talking the other day about the "Smoke Oil" parties....... We tried our best to remember details, but they were a bit foggy.
And many kegs of "Dead Cat Ale" were consumed behind Al's RV while smoking turkeys..... Pfunn stuff.....

I remember the drop tank tug going over on its side but nobody hurt.

Yep, I have that on video somewhere. It had a narrow wheelbase! Was sooooo cool.

Wow, trying to jog the memory with specifics?
                          I am thinking '88 or '89.

Leo. Sounds about right. The Tug Races were always fun after a few cold ones or more.
