    Default Air Races Covid Style

I guess they either didn't get the memo, or wanted a $2000 burger...
They said they were just keeping the spirit alive!
    Kudos to the Sanders group!
As you can see it's still pretty smoky here.

That family deserves a medal or something for what they have done and continue to do for the sport of Reno Air Racing!

I'm wondering looking at your photos Leo, with that vis plus the air ops for the fires, would the races have gone on if not for Covid?

Certainly would have made for some very crappy photo conditions!

Truly appreciate you guys who live down there keeping the rest of us in the loop!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been here since wednesday and can 99.9% say they could have never even taking the course till today...Vis has stayed around 2-3 miles until today....cancelling i think was a blessing,RARA would have lost big time otherwise

I agree. Yesterday was the clearest day we have seen in about 5 weeks and you could not see the backside of the course. The Tankers are all gone at this point. The tanker base is shut down and they are ripping out the ramp for a redo. I guess 14-32 is next.

Was gonna go up to Stead, but decided to skip the smoke show. Thursday was our first blue sky day in 32 days, and the thought of going where it was worse had no appeal to me. Now it's time to start thinking about 2021.
