Glad it turned out relatively ok, although still not sure how many people were on the plane.....

Glad all are OK. Can't tell from the angle. Is that on 08/26 or 14/32? Assume the latter...

            Copy that.

Spared the new 08/26 RWY at least...

Tracking tanker traffic out of McClellan on Flight Aware and I see two blips with the little white profiles that look like F-16's callsigns "Vilan 51 and 52" from KRTS. They were north of Pyramid Lake between 150 and 180 making head on passes at each other.

Never know what you will see.

*something* has been going on for about two weeks now, regarding a LOT more military flights. Down at the coast, and at PDX, it's normally REALLY quiet but for a week or so (a week ago, I'm in Portland now) there was a LOT more afterburner music out over the ocean, up high. Once I came to Portland on Monday, I'm right under the flight path for PDX, there's a LOT of military traffic, more than just the normal Oregon Air National Guard daily practice stuff. I saw a flight of F-18's day before yesterday and this AM there were a ton of close sequential departures in afterburner..

Must be a big exercise going on!

I've been using Flight Aware for six years and I never remember being able to track military aircraft.

You can use this link to follow military traffic. Hit the U button at the top and it will toggle the military traffic.

This may have had something to do with it.

Russia's navy chief, Adm. Nikolai Yevmenov, said that more than 50 warships and about 40 aircraft were taking part in the exercise in the Bering Sea, which involved practice missile launches.
