Default In Cockpit video of Dusty's Reno 9/18/16 Silver Final

Dusty asked me if I could post this here.
Here are his thoughts on race.
THE CREW PUT THE GOPRO IN THE REAR COCKPIT AND IS THE VIDEO OF THE
2016 SILVER FINAL. ONE THING I LEARNED IN THAT RACE WAS THE DIFFICULTY OF SEEING AN AIRCRAFT LIKE THE MUSTANG WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO OVERTAKE ONE AS I WAS DOING JUST BEFORE THE END OF THE RACE. I ACTUALLY SAW THE SHADOW OF "BLONDIE" ON THE GROUND AND THEN ADDRESSED MY ATTENTION TO TRYING TO FIND IT IN FRONT OF ME. MUST ME REALLY HARD WITH THE SOMETIMES 100MPH OVERTAKING SPEEDS
IN THE GOLD RACE. I'M ASSUMING SOMEONE ON THE GROUND WOULD BE
ALERTING THE FAST MOVERS....... ANYWAY, THIS VIDEO HAS ONLY BEEN SENT TO A FEW INDIVIDUALS LIKE THE
TFLM CREW WHEN THE FIVE OF THEM WERE GOING TO RACE THEIR FIRST RACE IN 2017 WHERE THEY PUT ON SUCH A GREAT SHOW. I SENT IT TO THEM TO MAYBE HELP THEM FIND THE PYLONS A LITTLE EASIER. AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE VIDEO.....AT TIMES..IF IT WASN'T FOR THE CARS PARKED AROUND THE PYLONS O 5 AND 6, THEY WOULD BE REALLY HARD TO FIND. ALSO, SOMETHING I LEARNED YEARS AGO WHEN OUR WATER TOWER WAS BEING BUILT ON THE AIRPORT.......A FLAT-PAINT COLOR, LIKE RUSTOLEOM BROWN,
SHOWS UP FOR MILES WHEREAS THE WHITE/ORANGE CHECKERBOARD PERMANENT PAINT ONLY LOOKS GOOD ON CAMERA. I'D BET THE BARRELS ON THE PYLONS WOULD SHOW UP MUCH BETTER IF THEY WERE FLAT
BLACK OR A DARK FLAT COLOR CONTRASTING AGAINST THE LIGHT-REFLECTING
    SAND.........

Perhaps some large dark colored arrows or something could be put out on the ground to indicate where the Pylons are; making the pilots work load easier/safer. Hopefully there are already spotters for the pilots, if not, I'm sure it would be easy to find volunteers.

LOL Thanks for the post Dusty!!

I've thought about having spotters for you guys since my first trip out to the pylons. Certainly would be an important safety feature as well as creating a really neat job for a crewmember!
